Locating and Mapping Infrastructures

Maya Ltd. is the leading company in the field of locating and mapping underground infrastructures. The company uses the most advanced technology available in the field.

The company team has more than 30 years’ experience, using the most advanced, state-of-the-art technological equipment in densely populated areas where there is a high density of sub-surface utilities. The company also sells equipment for locating infrastructures, while providing expert support to customers ensuring proper and effective use.

Nature of the Work

  • Pre-excavation surveys to prevent damage to existing underground infrastructures.

  • Locating and marking all the underground infrastructures in a site, in accordance with the customers’ requirements.

  • Integrated mapping of the entire underground infrastructure system and preparation of “as-made” maps.

  • On-site physical marking of detected infrastructures

  • Detection of metal and non-metal infrastructures.

  • Depth measurements, including absolute depth.

  • Opening and measuring sewage manholes.

  • Finding defects in cables and video inspection inside pipelines.

  • Ground penetrating radar tests (GPR) in special cases where conventional equipment is ineffective.

  • Non-destructive exposure of underground infrastructures, using soil vacuum excavation systems.

The equipment we use to locate infrastructure includes the world's most advanced electromagnetic systems, including devices for locating utilities and hidden objects manufactured by Sewerin.

Locating infrastructure including

Locating water pipes |  Locating of sewage and drain pipes |   Locating manholes  |
Locating telecommunication cables| Locating gas and fuel pipes
Locating fibre optic lines (with metallic fibre)  |  Locating electric power cables  |
Locating water supply pipes | Locating voltage carrying and supply lines

Underground scans using ground-penetrating radar

There are underground cavities and tunnels as well as non-metallic piping infrastructures that cannot be reached by standard detectors or transmitters. They can be detected and located with a GPR underground radar system.

This method is an important complementary component in the art of detecting and mapping underground infrastructures.

Locating concrete beams in buildings
Detecting and scanning Pal-Kar roofs
Detecting non-metallic pipes, asbestos, concrete and PVC
